The room
Four pods, built into the room like ship's cabins rather than stacked like bunks. Each has a full-length single mattress with hotel-grade cotton, a blackout curtain that actually closes, a dimmable reading light, two sockets and a USB-C port, a shelf for your phone and glasses, and a lockable drawer under the bed big enough for a carry-on.
The room itself keeps its 1930s proportions: high ceilings, terrazzo underfoot and tall windows onto the palm courtyard. Two rain showers and a separate washroom sit off the corridor, cleaned twice a day, with towels, shampoo and conditioner, a hairdryer and a full-length mirror. Earplugs and a sleep mask are on your pillow, and the room is quiet from 11pm.
