The room
The Porthole Café opens onto the sidewalk of Ocean Drive through the building's original round windows. Mornings start at the ventanita with cafecito, cortadito and café con leche, made on a two-group espresso machine with beans roasted in Little Havana. Guava-and-cheese pastelitos and croquetas come out of the oven from 7am.
Later in the day the counter turns to sandwiches, acai bowls and cold brew in a tall glass with condensed milk. Take it to the terrazzo bar inside, to a stool on the sidewalk, or upstairs to the pool.
